Summer league raises £4,700 for charity funds

THIS year’s Annual Charity Summer League fundraiser has raised a massive £4,700.

Those to benefit this year were the Royal Victoria Hospital for Sick Children Intensive Care Unit and the Lurgan Lourdes Fund.

The money was raised by holding quiz nights and the Summer football league in Lord Lurgan Memorial Park.

The committee would like to thank everyone including the teams that took part in the various cup competitions and anyone who helped out in any shape or form with the football competitions.

The presentation night was held in The Woodville Arms and this proved to be a very successful night.

Fundraisers were also held throughout the year in St Peter’s GAC and Reid’s Bar which helped contribute to the funds which were raised.

A special thanks also to those who gave personal donations which helped towards the overall total.
