Sun shines for Stendhal

The sun is set to shine on the Stendhal Festival of Art as it kicks off this afternoon following a week of miserable weather.

Highs of 17 degrees and blue skies, while not exactly scorching heat, will be a welcome relief from the constant wind and rain leading up to the popular festival.

The buildup of water is likely to make the fields at Ballymully Cottage Farm mucky so wellies are still advisable.

Tomorrow, the weather is expected to remain sunny with highs of 17 degrees and lows of 14 degrees.

The rain has poured constantly for the past week, with the MET Office even issuing a ‘yellow alert’ weather warning on Wednesday.
