Matt Stewart and some of the junior golfers from the Matt Stewart Golf Academy, helped with the official ribbon-cutting outside the store.

The fun-filled day proved a great success for the newly-opened Specsavers store. Store directors, Deirdre and Darren, and their team agreed that it was an excellent way to get to know the local community a bit better, which has warmly welcomed the store into the local community.

Deirdre Woodside, store director, Specsavers, Larne, said: “The local community has been extremely supportive since the store opened at the end of February, and this was a perfect way to show how thankful that we are for the continued support.

“The day was a great success, and a wonderful opportunity to get to know the local community better.”

Specsavers staff members handed out goodie bags throughout the day to both adults and children, and the store is continuing with the free sight test offer, which is running until the end of June.

The store has now extended its opening hours on a Thursday to accommodate customers who may not be able to attend eye care appointments during the day. The store will now be open until 7.00 pm every Thursday evening.
