Superb line-up of arts events

Ballymoney Borough Council has released its new Events.etc brochure which gives details of arts and cultural events taking place in Ballymoney Town Hall from September until Christmas.

Organised by Ballymoney Borough Arts Committee and the Council’s Cultural Services, the programme features a number of excellent music events beginning with Celtic Airs & Graces with world renowned flautist Karin Leitner and international harp virtuoso, Cormac de Barra on 29 October.

On 7 November, blues guitar legend Ronnie Greer is back, this time with his eight-piece Almost Big Band and special guest, Ireland’s Queen of the Blues, Grainne Duffy. On 28 November Len Graham and Jack Lynch make a welcome return for another great evening of song, stories and plenty of craic! The issue of Home Rule dominates local historian S Alex Blair’s new series of talks beginning on 24 September with Home Rule – With Protestant Support?

There are a number of excellent exhibitions in the Museum over the coming months beginning with My Treasure in October. The 27th Annual Art Exhibition will be on display along with the Ulster Woodturners Exhibition in November and will be followed by the Northern Ireland Photographic Association’s Annual Print Exhibition in December.

A new series of courses and workshops for adults and children will soon be up and running so if you feel like taking up a new hobby, enrolment takes place on 10 September from 7-9pm in Ballymoney Town Hall.
