Superb performances by St Louis A Level students

A LEVEL results for this year’s students at St Louis Grammar were described by Principal Sean Rafferty as “superb” and reflective of two years of sustained and determined effort.

This year 93 per cent of students achieved three A*-C in three subjects or more which is a magnificent 14 per cent increase on the achievements of last year’s cohort. Overall, the school’s A Level achievement was 98 per cent grades A*-E.

Mr Rafferty paid tribute to the teaching staff of St Louis Grammar who prepared the students and so diligently, and acknowledged the parents who for the past seven years have supported their children throughout their St Louis career.

This year also saw Catherine O’Callaghan from Crumlin attain four A* grades which makes her one of the top achieving students in Northern Ireland. Catherine intends to study Law in Trinity College, Dublin.

In all, 14 other students achieved A* - A grades in four subjects while another 35% of our students achieved A*/A grades in three subjects.

“On the back of these fantastic scores the students of St Louis Grammar are well placed to move on to third level education across Ireland and the UK and will no doubt contribute significantly to society in their chosen careers in future years,” said Mr Rafferty.
