Superhero theme as holiday club returns

First Carrickfergus Presbyterian Church Holiday Bible Club will return next month with a superhero theme.

This annual programme has proven to be very popular with over 350 children entering the War Memorial Halls each day.

David Penney, the church’s director of Youth Ministries, explained: “At Junior Heroes there will be lots of stories, singing, craft, fun-filled games and not forgetting the hilarious dramas. It’s an awesome week not to be missed.”

The club will be running from Monday, July 21 until Friday 25, 10.00am until 12.15pm every day. Free of charge, the week-long programme is open to children of primary school age (that includes children entering primary one in September 2014).

For those of secondary school age (this includes people going into year 8 in September 2014, Youth Week will run form July 28 until August 1, 11.00am – 11.00pm each day in the War Memorial Halls.

David added: “A normal day of Youth Week looks like something like this... games, Bible/discussion groups, lunch, afternoon activities, dinner, Live & Loud, downtime.  Afternoon activities include craft, Zumba, Cage Football, and lots more.  Downtime includes a social (big highlight), film night, talent show, and lots more.”
