After losing an uncle to cancer, Saoirse, a second year student at St Mary’s High School in Lurgan, decided she wanted to help chidren who were suffering from the illness. The thirteen year old carried out some research and came across Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs to girls and boys who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.

Saoirse paid a visit to Shauneen and Jayne’s Hair Salon on Lurgan’s Victoria Street - where Jayne cut her hair free of charge - and also managed to raise over £250 for Little Princess Trust.
