Support Asda’s Christmas appeal

Asda stores across Northern Ireland, including Asda Coleraine, are helping to kick-start the season of goodwill with the launch of a Christmas appeal for the retailer’s charity partner, Cash for Kids.

Over the coming weeks, Asda colleagues will be encouraging customers to get behind the charity’s ‘Mission Christmas’ campaign by dropping into their local store and donating an extra toy or much needed funds to help support disadvantaged children across NI who would otherwise go without this Christmas.

Cash for Kids was selected as one of four local charities to be supported by Asda throughout 2013 as part of the retailer’s award-winning Community Life programme. Asda colleagues will also assist the charity by hosting a range of in-store fundraising events to raise awareness and funds for Cash for Kids across its 17 stores in Northern Ireland.

Asda Coleraine store manager, Roy Warke said, “Christmas is one of our busiest times of the year but the generosity of our colleagues and customers never ceases to amaze me.

“The Christmas appeal is incredibly important, helping thousands of children and young people across Northern Ireland. I hope we can raise not just funds for Cash for Kids, but donate gifts that will help keep the Christmas dream alive for disadvantaged children across the region.”
