Surfing with the Caring Caretaker!

IT’S a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity which will NEVER be repeated.

Yes, the chance to witness Coleraine’s Caring Caretaker on a surfboard!

Davy Boyle was recently voted as the Coleraine Times Person to be Proud of and, as part of his prizes, he won the opportunity to learn to surf with Ricky Martin from Alive Surf School in Portrush.

Never one to turn down a chance to raise money for his charities, Davy has now agreed to take to the surf on Sunday, May 27th and wants 72 other volunteers to go with him.

“Ricky Martin from Alive Surf School has agreed to give surfing lessons during three sessions that Sunday at the West Strand in Portrush,” Davy told the Times.

“The charge will be £25 and Ricky has kindly agreed to donate £12.50 from each lesson to my charities this year.

“So I would like to get 72 people to sign up to learn to surf along with me so that we can raise £1,000 for charity.

“This is something you will never...and I mean NEVER...see again - me on a surf board and wearing a wetsuit!”

Anyone wishing to take part in this unique fundraiser for Coleraine’s finest is asked to contact Ricky on 07935 952 532.

The event will take place over three sessions - 10am to 12 noon, 1 - 3pm and 3.30 - 5.30pm.
