Survey on drug and alcohol issues

A MAJOR survey is being conducted across Craigavon with the aim of helping those affected by drugs and alcohol misuse.

The survey is being conducted by ADEPT NI, which was established to address substance misuse in the Craigavon borough.

It is being circulated to 2,000 homes across Lurgan, Craigavon and Portadown - with households picked on a random basis.

The survey will assist ADEPT NI in creating a 'resource model' which can be used to support individuals, parents, community leaders or those in the community impacted by drug and alcohol issues.

Those who receive the survey are encouraged to complete it online - using the 'survey monkey' link set out in the covering letter. Hard copies of the survey have also been included for those without internet access.

The deadline for submissions is October 31.

The project has been funded from the Southern Health and Social Care Promoting Wellbeing team through the Neighbourhood Renewal Health and Wellbeing Programme.
