Suspect nearly knocked down as he fled Culmore Road house

Detectives are investigating the burglary at the house on Sunday (January 11).

Police received a report at approximately 4.45 pm that two men had been disturbed at the property and made off on foot in the direction of Drummond Park/ O’Donovan Road.

Detective Constable Richard Donnell said:“I appeal to anyone who was in the area and observed any suspicious activity, in particular the driver of a dark coloured jeep type vehicle that was travelling towards the City around this time. It is believed one of the suspects ran out in front of the jeep as he tried to make good his escape.
