Suspected drink driver crashed into traffic lights in Dungannon

A 30-year-old man was arrested in Dungannon after a car collided with traffic lights in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident, which also resulted in damage being caused to a shop front, happened in the Market Square area at about 6.45am on Saturday.

The man was arrested on suspicion of driving when unfit; failing to stop at a road traffic collision; failing to remain at the scene of, and failing to report a road traffic collision.

He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries
