Thomas David Finn, Lawnmount Crescent, Lambeg, admitted disorderly behaviour on December 27 last year.

The court heard that at 1.45am police were called to Harry’s Bar in Banbridge.

CCTV showed the defendant involved in a confrontation with another man in Church Square.

A fight was going on between them.

A solicitor representing Finn said he had spent time in custody and was out briefly when this occurred. He was still on licence.

He said that a pre-sentence report indicated that probation could not provide assistance and Finn was not in a position to meet a financial penalty.

Deputy District Judge Laura Ievers said the case passed the custody threshold but went on to sentence him to two months in prison, suspended for 12 months.
