Assemblyman Swann, who is UUP Chief Whip and North Antrim UUP Chairman, said a number of women in Moyle aged 16 to 24 would share in an almost £600,000 boost for the Training For Women Network Limited.

In another project, vulnerable and disadvantaged young people aged between 16 and 24 from Ballymena would share in an additional almost £300,000 as part of the Include Youth organization to help provide essential skills training in literacy, numeracy and ICT.

Mr Swann said: “While this funding is to be spread across Northern Ireland, I am exceptionally pleased that young folk from our constituency will benefit from these much-needed and very worthwhile projects.

“The Big Lottery Fund, through its various programmes, has been benefiting North Antrim for a number of years and I hope financial support will continue for years to come as such projects can give our young folk much-needed opportunities to boost their skills base, and ultimately their chances of gaining employment.”
