Switch-on to Christmas this Thursday

The countdown to Christmas in Ballymena begins on Thursday, November 13, at The Braid on Bridge Street, when the Mayor, Councillor Audrey Wales MBE, assisted by a child from Castle Tower School, will be switching on the town centre lights.

The event begins at 6.30pm with a range of events for children and families and the countdown to switching on the fabulous display of illuminations starts at 7.15pm.

The event will launch a range of activities over the Christmas period in the town centre including Santa coming to town on November 20 and The Christmas Market from November 27-29.

Thanks to the European Union’s INTERREG IVA Programme, and with support from Ballymena Borough Council, Ballymena Town Centre Development Ltd is thrilled to announce that there will be a Frozen Display at the Bandstand for one night only this Thursday, kicking off just after the lights are switched on.
