The court heard that on January 17 this year police were called to Tesco Extra in Craigavon where the defendant had been detained by staff.

Herron had been seen on CCTV taking a price tag of £9 from a pair of tracksuit bottoms and replace it with one for £2.

She paid the lower price and was arrested as she was leaving.

The defendant was recognised as the person who replaced a tag on a coat with a £2 tag on January 2.

She made a full admission and appeared genuinely remorseful for what she had done.

Her solicitor said the offences happened just after Christmas when money was tight.
