Tag is removed to ‘take children swimming’
Daniel Paul Mulholland appeared in the dock of Craigavon Crown Court, sitting in Belfast, where an application to vary his bail condition was made.
The 33-year-old father-of-two from Mandeville Avenue in Lisburn is facing two drugs offences relating to the seizure of 60kg of cannabis with an estimated street value of £320,000, and is due to stand trial later this year.

Arguing for the removal of the tag, his lawyer said it caused him embarrassment and prevented him taking his children swimming.
After hearing submissions, Judge Stephen Fowler ordered that the tag be removed from Mr Mulholland, and said it was a “matter for the police to check whether or not he is honouring his curfew”.
