Take on UCF's river challenge
THE Ulster Cancer Foundation (UCF) is encouraging people to register for their latest sporting challenge - a 58km paddle along the River Bann.
The ‘Paddle the Bann’ event will take place on Saturday, September 25 and Sunday, 26. Participants will spend two days canoeing along the waterway, with wild camping on the banks of the river overnight.
Participants must pay a 25 registration fee and pledge to raise a minimum of 225 in sponsorship. Tents, camping equipment and Canadian canoes will be provided.
Funds raised through sponsorship will help UCF provide vital services for local cancer patients and their families.
