Take part in the Six Book Challenge

Would you like to get more joy out of reading? If so, Libraries NI would like to invite anyone who is finding it hard to get enthusiastic about reading to join the Six Book Challenge, available through public libraries in the Larne borough..

Read any six books within a year, in any format (including eBooks and audiobooks) and you will be awarded a Six Book Challenge certificate.

It doesn’t matter if you haven’t read a book for years, as libraries offer a wide range of books to suit all tastes, from short stories to family sagas, chick lit, thrillers and detective books, and classical novels, as well as information books, such as true stories, sport and history.

If you haven’t time to sit and read you can borrow an MP3 book or download a Libraries NI eBook or audiobook and listen at your leisure. Reading can help improve the quality of your life and is one of the best ways to relax - even six minutes can be enough to reduce your stress levels by more than two-thirds.

You can come on your own or if you belong to any kind of group, why not invite everyone to take part together and you can read the six books at your own pace?

If you are unsure what to borrow, library staff will be happy to support you in choosing books and help you rediscover how wonderful it is to read a great book…or six!

It is free to sign up for the Six Book Challenge and you will be able to claim your free reading diary when you take part.

Please ask about the Six Book Challenge at your local public library or check out the Libraries NI website at www.librariesni.org.uk.
