Taking one step after another will bless every mile

Find something good in whatever life sends

Look for the sunny side after the rain,

The blessing of the heart is contentment

So pick up the threads and start again.

All things are possible to those who believe

Put your best into whatever you do,

Through the daily round and trivial task

Always to yourself be true.

Dwelling on setbacks will never enable you

To approach a hill or get over a stile,

Taking one step after another in faith

Will add blessing to every mile.

For there is no care too big for prayer

Simply reach for the Saviour’s hand,

Content to bravely travel life’s unknown road
