Talent team line up for Leighinmohr Show

‘Ballymena’s Got Talent’ is the only show in town!

Contenders for the talent title are already in rehearsal for the showdown in Leighinmohr House Hotel on October 27th and tickets are selling like hot cakes.

The competition has captured the interest of local people and while a number of acts have definitely been finalised, there’s still a chance to put your name down for a chance to go on stage.

Organised by All Saints Boxing Club, all funds raised from the show will go towards a remarkable Trans-Atlantic venture which will see local children, teenagers and young adults from the famed club travel to meet with their counterparts in Boston.

One of the organisers, All Saints’ stalwart, Gerry Hamill, explained: “The Boston Club sent us the invite and when we looked at it, we realised it was a wonderful opportunity for these kids to go and inter-act with kids on the other side of the pond. It will be a great life experience for them so we’ve come up with various fund-raising ventures to help make the dream come true and ‘Ballymena’s Got Talent’ has certainly caught the local imagination!”

Acts lined up so far include no less than three dance troupes from the local area, singers, impressionists and various other entertainers.

“We’re still holding some rehearsal sessions at the club,” says Gerry. “We will be going through the final process on Tuesday evening (tonight) from 7.30pm.”
