Talented kids at Movenis contest

MOVENIS Area Community Association held a very exciting and entertaining Talent Contest at their hall on Saturday night.

A packed hall was entertained by fifteen fantastic musical and singing performances by under 16's from Coleraine, Ballymoney and Ballymena.

Judges Radio North's, Martin Moore, Liz Moore and Clifford Hopper had a challenging time deciding the four prize winners.

The first cash prize went to singer Beth Scott from Kells who will also receive a free tuition term and photo-shoot from sponsor Darren Cumberland from Music DC, Ballymena. Beth will also be appearing and joining an All Star cast at MACA's Grand Variety Contest in Garvagh High School on Friday, October 8.

The other three cash prizes including a photo-shoot were won by seven-year-old drummer Ben Grant, Faith Moore with a recitation and Garvagh girl Hannah Collins for a violin rendition.

MACA's chairman, Cllr. Sam Cole, thanked everyone for their support and the 15 contestants for their sterling performances.

A special thanks was extended to the judges and sponsor Darren Cumberland of Music DC.
