Talented students go ‘Into The Woods’
Following on from the success of their version of ‘Les Miserables’ last year, students are now taking on the hit Broadway musical.
There is sure to be huge interest in this musical following Disney’s film version which was released earlier this year. The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm fairy tales and follows them to explore the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. The main characters are taken from “Little Red Riding Hood”, “Jack and the Beanstalk”, “Rapunzel” and “Cinderella”, as well as several others. The musical is tied together by an original story involving a childless baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family, their interaction with a witch who has placed a curse on them and their interaction with other story book characters during their journey.

This invaluable experience will not only give the performing arts and music students the opportunity to perform in a professional theatre, it will also allow the L3 Production Arts students to work hand in hand with industry professionals.”
