Talented teens hold fundraiser

POPULAR TV show 'Britain's Got Talent' has searched for and found for an overall winner, but in the second Kilbride Talent Fest held recently, everyone was a winner, especially the audience, who were treated to an array of talent from a wide range of ages.

The evening was organised as a social fundraiser for the Kilbride Presbyterian Church Hall Fund.

Organiser and compere was the multi-talented Darryl Bowden, who even performed a version of the ‘Diagonal Steam Trap.’

The night saw fantastic performances of music, comedy, singing, poems, drumming, various styles of dancing, sketches and great entertainment.

“All items were fantastic and it is hard to single any one out, but let’s just say that ‘Thriller’ lived up to its name, and never before has Snow White seen such an unusual bunch of Dwarves!” said a spokesperson for the church.

“Well done to all the young people who took part and displayed many talents to be proud of - the future of Kilbride is in talented hands!

“Thank you to everyone involved in making this a special night - the performers, the audience, the ‘caterers’ and especially Darryl Bowden for bringing everything together. The whole event raised 228 for the hall fund.”
