Talks needed to work out who will pay for G8 policing

THE cost of policing the G8 summit in Fermanagh next year will place additional pressure on the PSNI budget and talks need to take place to work out who is going to pay for it, according to Justice Minister David Ford.

He stated: “I am aware that the G8 Summit will place additional pressure on the policing budget. My officials will be in discussions with the relevant funding organisations to agree who will provide the necessary funds.”
