Stand By Me works to rescue children in crisis. It supports children and families with health programmes, including the provision of clean water.

A statement from the school explained: “Here in the UK, we don’t often think about the benefits of a toilet in our homes. But for many children in Stand by Me’s care around the world, a toilet is considered a luxury.”
Mr Bennett’s toilet is now sitting in his classroom and pupils are giving all their coppers to the cause.
