Team Larne taskforce
IN a week that has left Larne reeling from one of the worst economic announcements in years, a united front has been forged to tackle the crisis.
A co-ordinated approach spearheaded by Larne Borough Council in partnership with key players such as LEDCOM, Invest Northern Ireland and the Department for Employment and Learning has swiftly been put in place in response to the devastating news of massive job losses at FG Wilson.
A special meeting was called on Friday, September 14, attended by key players including Finance Minister and East Antrim MP Sammy Wilson, at which it was resolved that a local economic taskforce be set up.
