Teams keen to make their mark

Burndennett, the only side still to taste defeat have every opportunity of keeping the run going as they entertain The Nedd. Jimmy Boyle’s side are awaiting the outcome of their abandoned match against Ardmore however they will focus for now on the task at hand against Creighton Wilson’s men.

The visitors haven’t quite been able to reproduce their form from last season as yet but in Vinny O’Hara, Keith and Gareth Burns, Kyle Morrow, Alex Steele and the rest certainly have the quality to make things uncomfortable for the hosts.

Burndennett have been able to dictate from the front quite a bit this season, they look to be a team that sets a total but it remains to be seen what will happen when they lose a toss and have to chase one.

If they can do that as well they will be serious title challengers but either way they should know too much here.

Leaders Bonds Glen also have a chance to keep the pressure on the chasing pack as they entertain a Killyclooney side that hasn’t fully got into their stride either.

The visitors will be hoping that Graeme McCarter will be available before he heads off for a summer in England and although Ken Colhoun, Richard McMorris, Mark Gordon and the likes do give them options, the personnel losses they have carried in the past couple of seasons are taking effect.

The Bee Gees will be keen to put Saturday’s mauling by Eglinton behind them but will know that what happens here will be of more concern to them.

Gary Hamilton has them at the top of their game at the minute and the home team ought to win this.

Creevedonnell will hope to maintain their recovery after an awful start when they host Drummond.

Stephen Scroggie’s side has won their last two league games to keep in touch with the leaders and they have been scoring a few runs as well albeit without yet really hitting top gear.

Andrew Clarke is shaping up into a decent capture and in Charlie Elder and Nicky Cooke, Brian Dougherty and the two McGarrigles they have players capable of taking the game away from most sides.

The visitors, under the guidance of Gordon Cooke are improving steadily and were far from disgraced in the senior cup against Donemana.

Jason Scott and Stevie Moore are dangerous players and Curtis McElwee has been showing regularly as well but Creevedonnell really need to win this if they have title ambitions this season.

The final match sees Ardmore travel to Sion Mills in what could be a tricky enough assignment for Paul Brolly’s men, The hosts skipper, John Browne, has made a real difference to them this season and with the experience of Lee McGonigle as well as the likes of Lee Finlay, Mark Patterson and Andy Lucas available to him they could be dangerous enough at home.

The visitors though have a very strong line up themselves and Adrian Murphy looks due a big score again pretty soon. The quality of the Bleachgreen side should be enough in this one.
