'˜Tech' throwing doors open to prospective students in Derry next Wednesday

The North West Regional College is holding its next open day in Derry City on March 29, from 12 noon to 8pm.

A spokesperson for the college said throwing open its doors offers prospective students the chance to have a closer look at the wide array of courses available.

“The Science labs will be open all afternoon and visitors can learn the numerous career options available in science while working with model volcanoes and lava lamps.

“Test your fitness with Sports students; try out some First Aid with the Care and Health Team or experiment with Computer Gaming with help from the IT team.

“Or, if you’re interested in the Built Environment there’ll be an opportunity to take part in a group activity constructing a tower,” the NWRC spokesperson said.

The local college offers a wide range of options across disciplines and campuses.

NWRC will host Open Days at Strabane campus on the Derry Road on Tuesday, March 28 ( 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.), at campuses at Strand Road and Springtown on March 29 (12 Noon – 8 p.m.), and Limavady and Greystone on March 30 (5.00pm – 8.00pm),” the spokesperson added.
