Teen faces seven charges
A 18-YEAR-old has been accused of going on a rampage at a Cookstown hostel, a court has heard.
George McKinney, of Molesworth Street in Cookstown, has been charged with two counts of criminal damage, one count of aggravated assault, making a threat to kill, possession of an offensive weapon, assaulting a police officer and causing damage to a property.
It was alleged that McKinney destroyed a common room window and damaged a door and a car at the Must Hostel on June 1. A Detective Sergeant said he could connect the accused to the charge.
Deputy District Judge Nigel Broderick adjourned the case until July 7 with McKinney to appear by video link.
