Teenage disco

THE Corner House will play host to a new teenage disco in June.

The DCX project will be launching the disco for teenagers aged 13 to 17 in the Derrymacash venue on Friday, June 18.

It is part of Help For Teens, an organisation based in Banbridge.

Director Andrew Williamson said: “We provide events to take teenagers off the streets. We’re hoping to run a disco every Friday night over the summer to give teenagers something to do.”

The disco will feature the best commercial dance music brought to you by Ghetto Busterz (Micky Modelle, Jamie B and Ron Ewens) and DJ Pulsate.

There will also be a foam party and one of Ireland’s biggest dance groups - DCX Hardstylers.

Andrew said: “These discos are for teenagers who enjoy socialising with friends. It means they don’t have to be hanging about the streets drinking alcohol and getting mixed up in trouble.”

The DCX project thanked The Corner House for helping to establish them in the local area.
