Teenage girl assaulted and robbed

A teenage girl has been assaulted and robbed in Craigavon.

The 19-year-old girl had been walking along the Mandeville Road between 2am and 3am on Sunday May 17 when she was approached by two males.

According to Detective Constable Smyth the men spoke to the teenager before assaulting her and taking her mobile phone.

“The first male is described as being between 24 and 25 years old, approximately 5ft 11in tall and heavily built with a dark brown goatee. He was wearing dark trousers which were ripped at the knees and a dark jacket. The second male is described as being around 20 years old, approximately 5ft 8in tall, of slim build with very short, dirty fair hair. He was wearing a fleece type jumper with a shirt underneath, navy jeans and Nike Air Max trainers.

“We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or has information which may assist our investigation. We can be contacted in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 490 170515.”
