Teenager assaulted

Around 10.45pm on Friday, July 9, a 14-year-old boy was assaulted by a group of youths estimated to be between six and 10 in number on wasteground between College Glen and a hardware store. Some of the youths had metal bars in their possession and struck the teenager a number of times.

He sustained injuries to his head, hand and arm. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
