Teenager given interim ban after admitting offences

A 19-year-old man will be sentenced next month at Craigavon Magistrates Court for motoring offences.

Ben Russell, whose address was given as Elizabeth Terrace, Portadown, pleaded guilty at last Wednesday’s sitting of the court to dangerous driving, driving with excess alcohol in breath and failing to report an accident.

The offences are alleged to have happened on August 16 this year on the M12 at Portadown.

Sentencing in the case was adjourned until September 7 so that a pre-sentence report could be obtained from the probation service.

An interim disqualification from driving was imposed on the defendant during the court hearing.
