Teenager injured in knife attack

The young man was crossing the road at Old School Court in the direction of Lynngrove shortly before 11pm when he was confronted by two males crossing the opposite way.

One of the males thrust at the victim with a knife causing a cut injury before making off in the direction of Crumlin Road. The injury is not believed to be serious.

The attackers are described as both around 5’ 10” tall of medium build, wearing all black clothing.

Police are still trying to establish a motive to the attack and are appealing for anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to contact them. The number to call is 0845 600 8000.
