Teenagers attacked with baseball bats in Whitehead

At approximately 8.30pm, as the two men were locking up premises in the Balmoral Avenue area, they were attacked by three masked men using baseball bats.

Both men were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries. One has since been discharged whilst the other remains in hospital.

Detective Sergeant Peter Crothers would appeal to anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed this incident to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Larne on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1237 04/10/16.
