Teenagers gain a new angle through Trust

A GROUP of teenagers from the Southern Health and Social Care Trust area have taken part in a fishing programme with Banbridge Angling Club.

The two girls and nine boys aged from 12-15 participated in the project to learn about spinning, fly and worm fishing, before taking part in a fishing event at Corbet Lough.

Emma O’Neill, from the Trust’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service said: “This project aimed to give the young people a chance to learn a new hobby and socialise in a relaxing natural environment. Fishing requires quite a lot of skill and patience, so all of those who took part should be congratulated for their persistence.

“We hope that they enjoyed meeting new friends and that they take pride in their achievement. On behalf of the Trust I would also like to thank Banbridge Angling Club for taking their time to encourage our young people and share their expertise with them.”
