Templepatrick Churches Unite and Raise Money for Christian Aid

ON Sunday, September 12, the Old Presbyterian Church in Templepatrick hosted a special inter-denominational evening service of worship and praise celebrating God's presence in all aspects of human life.

This service was led by the Minister of the church, Rev. Dr. Scott Peddie, with readings and prayers offered by Rev. Jennifer Bell of St. Patrick's Church and Stuart Morrow, student assistant at Templepatrick Presbyterian Church.

Rev. Dr. Richard Hills, Church of England Priest and Warden of the Society of Ordained Scientists (SOSc), was the guest speaker.

Dr. Hills was visiting Northern Ireland as part of a drive to recruit new members and associates to the society; currently, Dr. Peddie is the only member of the society living and working in Ireland, north or south.

The service attracted many people from Templepatrick and beyond and the offertory collection raised 315, which will be donated to Christian Aid's Pakistan Flood Appeal.
