Tenth annual fun day and vintage event is to be held

Larchfield Community Development Association are holding their 10th annual Family Fun Day and Vintage Vehicle and Classic Car Rally and Road Run on Saturday 12th September 2015.

The popular event will take place from 11am – 6pm, at 136 Windmill Road, Annahilt, Hillsborough, Co Down, BT26 6NP.

The opening ceremony will be conducted by Dr Helen Fullerton MBE, Chairman of Cancer Research, Hillsborough Branch, a well known local retired GP.

Children’s activities include magician, balloon modeling, face painting, duck fishing, cup cake decoration, nail art, Ulster Wildlife activities and child friendly tractors. 

A star attraction this year on exhibit will be a Limited Edition Honda SP1 Motor Bike, No 7 of 26 made to commemorate the victories in the Isle of Man TT races of the late great Joey Dunlop.

Other activities/stands include; Wacky Wax Hands, Murray Brother Mini-Silage harvesting demonstration, Wood Turning, Motor Cycle daring skills, Rare Breeds animals, Steam Engine, Threshing and Baling Demonstration, Amber’s Arts-Crochet exhibition and demonstration, Collectables and Antiques, Tug of War,(entries welcome, contact in advance) and an exhibition celebrating ten years of Larchfield Vintage Rally, and much more.

Refreshments are served throughout the day and music is supplied by Billy McFarland.

Charity Partners this year are Cancer Research Hillsborough Branch and Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research NI.

This event has proved increasingly popular with families and vintage vehicle enthusiasts from around the province. A whole day’s activity and entertainment for all the generations and members of the family.

Vehicle Registration from 9.30am, £10 including lunch and commemorative plate.
