Terex worker Stevie McTeague dies in hospital following plant incident

It is understood two men were involved in the incident at the Cookstown Road plant around 3.20pm, and that the Health and Safety Executive is now investigating.

Stevie McTeague, a dad of two from Loughmacrory, was being treated at South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen.

It is understood he spent a number of days critically ill and on life support. A funeral notice from his family said he passed away on Saturday.

Beloved husband of Helen and devoted father of Conor and Ryan, Stevie also leaves behind his brother of Mickey, Ann McCann, Dessie and Sharon Dearnaley, and parents-in-law , Tom and Bridget Hanna. Firefighters were called to the Terex plant on Thursday after the incident was reported, but a spokesperson for the Fire and Rescue service said the men were out from under the machine by the time they arrived.

Both were then taken to hospital by ambulance. The second man was treated at the urgent care ward at Tyrone County Hospital, and later discharged.
