Terrific Tracey!

A COLERAINE woman and her friends celebrated her birthday in style by raising an outstanding £5,000.00 for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland’s Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.

Tracey Gilmore and her pals raised vital funds for Cancer Focus through a sponsored walk, at Portstewart Strand followed by Tracey’s birthday party, where they held a fantastic raffle, auction and instead of receiving gifts.

Tracey asked each of her guests to make a donation to Cancer Focus. The charity has expressed a huge thank you to Tracey for organising her fantastic fundraising birthday bash.

Tracey would not have been able to raise this money without the help and support of the local people, friends and family.

A special thank you to Tracey’s friend June Whitehead who helped organise her birthday celebrations. Tracey, friends and family are very grateful for their support, as the sum raised exceeded all of their expectations.

Rosie Hassin, a community fundraising officer for Cancer Focus, says, “This money All money raised for Cancer Focus will be spent locally, continuing to support people affected by breast cancer in Northern Ireland. Cancer Focus is committed to tackling cancer by supporting research, providing care services for cancer patients and their families and educating people on how they can reduce their risk of cancer.”

One of the services this money will help is our Beauty for Life Service, this service gives cancer patients a well-deserved confidence boost and ‘time out’ from their cancer treatment to enjoy some real pampering.
