Mayor of Lisburn and Castlereagh, Councillor Thomas Beckett, is inviting table quiz fans to test their knowledge at Lagan Valley Island on October 22, from 7.30pm.

The mayor has organised a table quiz to raise funds in support of his Mayoral charity, the Mary Peters Trust, providing young athletes across Northern Ireland with much needed funds and support in their chosen sport

Councillor Beckett said: “During my term in office, the Mayor’s Office has arranged or been part of many fundraising events to raise money for this excellent local charity, the Mary Peters Trust, and I hope people will continue to support our efforts by competing in this event.

“Well-known quizmasters Mr George McCartney and Mr Michael Rickard will be asking the brainteasers on the night in a variety of subjects including sport, general knowledge and film, to name but a few.

“The entry fee is £8 per person and it will be a maximum of six per team on the night.

“I look forward to seeing a full house on the night with all entrants keen to pit their wits’against each other to be champions of the ‘Mayor’s Charity Table Quiz’.” To book call the Mayor’s Office on 028 9250 9331, or email [email protected].
