Young Enterprise is Northern Ireland’s largest business education charity. Reaching young people aged 4-25, the charity bridges the gap between classrooms and boardrooms by bringing business volunteers into schools to deliver a range of exciting entrepreneurship and employability programmes.

For example, Colette Emery from Danske Bank volunteered as a business adviser to these students from Dalriada School. The students started a business named ‘In A Jar’ and sold their products at a special Trade Fair event held at the Tower Centre in Ballymena.

Young Enterprise Chief Executive Carol Fitzsimons commented: “On behalf of our charity I’d like to thank more than 400 volunteers who have been involved with us this year. Throughout every local area in Northern Ireland we are supported by dedicated local volunteers who give up their time to influence and inspire our next generation of entrepreneurial employers and employees.

“Their support helps our young people to develop the skills that employers need and the innovative ideas that may one day flourish and create cutting edge businesses that will help our local economy to prosper.”
