The BIG Saunter

The BIG Saunter will be launched on Thursday 8 April at 11.30 am at the River Foyle walkway at Sainsbury's Café by the Mayor, Councillor, Paul Flemming.

Also in attendance will be Dr McGinley, founder and Director of the Foyle Hospice; Gerry Lynch, amateur athlete and well known member of the local running fraternity; Noel McMonagle, Community Fundraising Manager for Foyle Hospice and a number of local participants.

The BIG Saunter is a sponsored walk for those aged 55+ and is being organised by Health for Life and the Foyle Hospice. The Saunter is inspired by the Foyle Hospice female and male walk/runs, which are hugely successful. The Big Saunter gives people aged 55+ their chance to be active, participate in civic life and raise money for a great organisation like the Foyle Hospice, which provides support and care with dignity for sufferers of cancer and their families.
