The Harbour Bare

STAFF at an award-winning Portrush bar and restaurant are baring almost all to help raise funds for orphans in Thailand.

The Harbour Bar’s saucy 2013 calendar will feature plucky colleagues in various states of undress.

And it’s hoped the cheeky calendar will raise vital funds for barman Willie Gregg’s Orphan Fund.

The cover features Fionn McAlpin - senior chef of the Harbour complex - who is son of the owners George and Jane.

Willie said: “It’s all a bit of fun and tongue and cheek and features photos of the staff baring a little but not all!

“The rest of the photos are all being kept under wraps and the calendar will be launched at my Five Star Charity Night in the Harbour Bar on Friday, November 30.”

Willie said he was grateful to all his colleagues for having the nerve to take part and for those who have indicated they will support the venture.

The superb photos were taken by Kris Dickson of Life Photography in Coleraine and Willie has ordered 1,000 of them from a company in London.

“The calendars will be sold for £7.50 or, even better £10,” explained Willie.

“So far I have had orders through Facebook from Harbour Bar customers and ex-pats from Perth in Australia, Christchurch in New Zealand, Santa Barbara in the United States and ten are going to Toronto.

“I’d like to see the calendar become an annual fixture for fundraising for the Orphan Fund.”

Since the 2004 tsunami in Thailand Willie has raised more than £200,000 for various projects.
