The History of Belfast City Hall talk for NCA

The North Coast Association of the National Trust concludes its spring lecture series on Easter Tuesday, April 2, when Robert Corbett will talk on the history of Belfast’s remarkable City Hall.

Robert is the Records Manager for Belfast City Council and is responsible for the management of the Council’s records, both historic and modern.

In 2006 he curated the City Council’s exhibition to celebrate the City Hall’s centenary.

Robert will draw upon his research for this exhibition to explain why the City Hall was built and to tell the story of its construction and of the people who built it. He will also describe some of the important events that have happened in this extraordinary building.

The talk will take place at the Magherabuoy House Hotel, Portrush at 8pm. All are, of course, welcome. Admission (payable at the door) is £4.00 and includes tea/coffee and biscuits after the talk.
