The focus of the visits was on road safety and the importance of young people being visible when out and about during dark winter mornings and evenings.

Awareness of road safety issues is heightened amongst pupils and teachers with eight deaths, three of which were pedestrians, so far this year on Northern Ireland’s roads prompting police to describe the situation as a road safety emergency.
