The oil of joy will keep your lamp aglow,
Shedding light on the path as you go,
As you place your trust in the Higher power
And cease to ponder why things are so.
The Lord knows what you can carry,
So keep in mind when the sky is grey
That many victories have been accomplished
Along the path of disarray.
Why try cloud tomorrow’s sunshine
When today we can seek to repair?
Mindful one step in faith is more rewarding
Then a marathon of despair.
You’ll find time will play its gentle part
And lead you steadily towards your goal,
Those buds of faith will grow and blossom,
Adding grace to the conquering soul.
