'˜The ones who stayed at home': Talk


Her talk is entitled ’The ones who stayed at home’.
Dr Linde Lunney is originally from North Antrim and studied at Edinburgh University and Queen’s University Belfast. She now lives in Dublin and works for the Royal Irish Academy on the Dictionary of Irish Biography, researching biographies of important historical figures. She has kept an interest in Ulster local history and genealogy, especially the district round Ballymoney.
Tea and coffee will be available from 10.30am. All main meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month. There is a cover charge of £1 for each meeting.
The U3A stands for the University of the Third Age which is less of a university and more an activity and social club. Activities range from bridge to golf, photography to creative writing.
