What about ‘the pecking order’?

Well, during the week while viewing videos from the garden cam that ‘himself’ got me for my birthday last year, I came across this wee gem. It shows a jackdaw being bullied by two other jackdaws at the bird feeder in the garden.

Ronnie and I watched in astonishment as one bird intimidated another. The submissive bird had landed and picked up a seed on the ground, much to the anger of the other, slightly bigger bird. We were fascinated as we watched the submissive bird back away...but it still managed to make off with the seed firmly gripped in it’s beak.
